Getting Started

How do I create an account?

You can create an account by clicking the 'Sign In' button in the top right corner of the homepage. You'll be prompted to enter your email address, and we'll send you a magic link to complete the sign-up process.

Is CollectFolio free to use?

Yes, CollectFolio is currently free to use with all core features available to all users. We may introduce premium features in the future, but the basic collection tracking functionality will always remain free.

Which trading card games are supported?

We currently support Pokémon TCG, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and several other popular TCGs. We're constantly expanding our database to include more games and cards.

Collection Management

How do I add cards to my collection?

You can add cards to your collection by searching for them using the search bar, then clicking on the card to view its details, and finally clicking the 'Add to Collection' button. You can specify the quantity, condition, and whether it's a foil/holographic version.

Can I organize my collection into different categories?

Yes, you can create custom categories or 'binders' to organize your collection however you like. For example, you might have separate binders for different games, sets, or investment vs. playing cards.

How do I update the condition or quantity of cards in my collection?

Navigate to the card in your collection, click on it to open the details view, and you'll see options to update the condition, quantity, and other attributes. All changes are saved automatically.

Can I import my existing collection data?

Yes, we support importing collection data in CSV format. Go to your profile settings and look for the 'Import Collection' option. We provide a template that shows the required format for importing your data.

Value Tracking

How are card values determined?

Card values are determined based on recent sales data from multiple marketplaces, including eBay, TCGPlayer, and other sources. We use algorithms to filter out outliers and provide the most accurate market value.

How often are card values updated?

Card values are updated daily to reflect the current market conditions. For some high-volume cards, values may be updated even more frequently.

Why might the value of my collection change suddenly?

Collection values can change due to market fluctuations, new set releases, tournament results, or changes in card legality for competitive play. Significant news about a game can also impact card values.

Can I track the historical value of my collection?

Yes, we provide charts showing the historical value of your collection over time. This helps you understand trends and make informed decisions about buying or selling cards.

Account & Privacy

How do I reset my password?

CollectFolio uses passwordless authentication with magic links sent to your email. If you need to sign in, simply enter your email address and we'll send you a secure link to access your account.

Is my collection data private?

Yes, by default your collection data is private and only visible to you. You can choose to make parts of your collection public if you wish to share it with others.

How can I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your profile settings page. Please note that this action is permanent and will remove all your collection data from our system.

What data do you collect about me?

We collect basic account information (email), your collection data, and usage analytics to improve the platform. For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

Technical Issues

The site is loading slowly. What can I do?

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, or try using a different browser. If problems persist, it might be a temporary issue with our servers, and you can contact us for assistance.

I found a card that's missing from your database. How can I report it?

You can report missing cards through the 'Contact Us' page. Please provide as much detail as possible about the card, including the set name, card number, and an image if available.

The value shown for a card seems incorrect. What should I do?

If you believe a card's value is incorrect, you can report it through the card detail page. Click on 'Report Incorrect Value' and provide information about why you think the value is wrong.
